Law enforcement officers in Georgia seized up to 1 kilogram of “cocaine” — a foreign national has been detained
Employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have detained a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan — A.A., born in 1994 — on charges of illegal purchase, possession, and facilitation of the distribution of narcotic drugs in especially large quantities. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
“During a search of the suspect’s person, as well as his temporary place of residence, the police seized, as evidence, a narcotic substance ‘cocaine’ prepared for distribution in an especially large quantity — up to one kilogram.
Law enforcement officers also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260 prima of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which предусматривает наказание в виде лишения свободы сроком до 20 лет или пожизненное заключение,” the statement says.
