In occupied Abkhazia, part of Sukhumi was left without electricity due to heavy rain, Echo of the Caucasus reports.

The downpour also caused flooding of courtyards and the first floors of residential buildings. By order of the so-called mayor, Temur Agrba, all services have been switched to an enhanced mode of operation.

The Sukhumi administration is urging residents to refrain from moving along streets where flooding has been recorded. There is also a risk of rivers overflowing their banks.
