Employees of the Migration Department have deported 18 foreign citizens from Georgia

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the deportation was carried out in recent days as part of comprehensive measures coordinated closely between the Migration Department and the ministry’s relevant divisions.

The ministry reported that the deported individuals were citizens of Iran, China, Russia, Nigeria, Egypt, Bangladesh, Belarus, Turkey, India, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan — a total of 18 people.

“In accordance with current legislation, the deported individuals have been banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and carrying out their deportation,” the statement said.
