Officers of the Adjara Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs detained two individuals on charges of illegal purchase and possession of narcotic substances, as well as facilitating their distribution.

During searches of the suspects’ personal belongings and temporary residences, as well as at various other locations, law enforcement officers seized as evidence an especially large quantity of dried marijuana and materials used for packaging narcotics.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260 Prima of the Criminal Code, which provide for a sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
