The National Bank of Georgia has set a new official exchange rate. Following trading on August 31, the US dollar strengthened to 2.6156 GEL, compared with the previous rate of 2.6125 GEL.

The euro weakened, with its exchange rate falling to 3.0333 GEL, compared with 3.0412 GEL today.

The Turkish lira also weakened, with its value falling to 0.0542 GEL.

The exchange rate set following today’s trading will take effect on September 1.
