Direct flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Bratislava will start on January 12, 2026

Starting January 12, 2026, a new European route will be added at Kutaisi International Airport. Passengers will be able to fly directly to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. This was reported by the Airports Association.

According to their information, Europe’s most environmentally sustainable airline, Wizz Air, will operate flights on the Bratislava–Kutaisi–Bratislava route four times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flights will be operated using the modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.

The addition of this new route became possible thanks to intensive and successful negotiations between the Airports Association of Georgia and Wizz Air. Tickets are already available for purchase on the airline’s official website.

Bratislava is one of Central Europe’s important hubs, located at a short distance from Vienna and Budapest. Therefore, the new route may offer Georgian travelers additional cultural and tourist opportunities—for both leisure and diverse European exploration.

Wizz Air operates flights from Kutaisi International Airport to 23 destinations in 12 countries, including the summer-added route to Lyon. Starting December 2, the airline will also begin direct flights to Venice. Since beginning operations in the Georgian market in 2012, Wizz Air has transported nearly 9 million passengers in both directions
