A presentation of Georgian wine was held in Tokyo

The presentation of Georgian wine in Japan’s capital, Tokyo, was led by top sommelier Taku Iguro.

At a special seminar, Taku Iguro spoke about Georgian amber wines, and the tasting was held in the so-called “Walk Around Tasting” format.

With financial support from the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by its contractor, the marketing company “Red Bridge,” tastings and seminars of Georgian wine were held in Japanese cities — Sapporo, Sendai, and Tokyo — from April 7 to 13 as part of a “Road Show.”

Such events help promote Georgian wine and increase its recognition, while also providing Georgian wine-producing companies with a unique opportunity to meet potential partners and wine industry professionals in one place.

Japan is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. The National Wine Agency of Georgia has been cooperating with the marketing company “Red Bridge” since 2017. The company’s activities include various marketing initiatives in Japan. The aim of these activities is to increase awareness of Georgian wine in the Japanese market and, consequently, boost demand. The Japanese market is characterized by high demand for high-quality products and a growing interest in authentic, unique flavors. In this context, Georgian wine, with its diverse вкусы and traditional production methods, gains a significant competitive advantage.
