Kufaradze, ex prisoner of the Special Women and Juvenile Establishments
revealed scandal facts of cruelty existing in the Penitentiary system of
Georgia. She claims that narcotic substances are sold freely in prison. Mixing
of psychotropic substances in the food as well as severe beating of prisoners
was executed according to the instruction of prison administration. Heath
condition of inmates expressing some kind of protest became worse. The ex-prisoner
spoke about money extortion facts as well. Exactly these facts became the
reason of uprising occurred in the Special Women and Juvenile Establishments in
2009. The prison administration promised prisoners to put them in pardon list in
return for money. When the inmates turned out that they were cheated by them,
the prisoners arranged a debauch, that resulted in deployment of special task
unit in the prison by the administration.
